BOWLING GREEN, KY – Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul announced the hiring of Robert Augustine to serve in a newly expanded position on his Kentucky staff dedicated to serving the people of Trimble, Oldham, Henry, Shelby, Bullitt, Spencer, Anderson, Nelson, Washington, Boyle, Marion, and Mercer counties.
 
Mr. Augustine, a Kentucky native, comes to Sen. Paul’s staff with a diverse background. Mr. Augustine has been the Director of Photography for the last 15 years for Lifetouch National School Studios, has consulted for and managed various political campaigns in Kentucky, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Nelson County Republican Party.  Formerly a member of the Kentucky State Senate Republican staff, he has maintained a freelance career in computer-related design and photography. Previously, he has written columns for the Nelson County Gazette and The Kentucky Standard.
 
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve the people of Kentucky on behalf of Senator Paul,” Mr. Augustine said.
 
Mr. Augustine, a University of Louisville graduate, currently resides in Bardstown with his wife Jessica and sons Benjamin and Samuel.
 
Sen. Paul is pleased to have Mr. Augustine on board to support this region of Kentucky, and released the following statement:
