WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) joined Judge Andrew Napolitano on FoxNews.com’s FreedomWatch to discuss the Constitution’s separation of powers regarding war and how the revised Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) proposed by Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Bob Corker (R-TN) ignores that standard.

“The reason the framers of the Constitution wanted that power to be dispersed among many people is they were trying to prevent us from going to war too often,” Dr. Paul stated in the interview. “I think this motion by Kaine and Corker actually turns the Constitution upside down and does something that is unconstitutional,” he later noted.

On Wednesday, Judge Napolitano joined Professor Jonathan Turley and Christopher Anders in testifying before Dr. Paul’s Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management (FSO) Subcommittee on the Kaine-Corker AUMF. You can watch that hearing HERE.
