WASHINGTON, D.C. – During today’s U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee hearing on the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) continued holding officials accountable and asking tough questions about the lockdown policies that have hit small businesses especially hard across the country.

In addition to questioning Dr. Anthony Fauci about the effectiveness of these policies, Dr. Paul also advocated for further study of pre-existing cross-reactive immunity to COVID-19 to help us further understand the pandemic and properly assess our response.

“While there are still many things we need to learn about this pandemic, it’s important that ‘we the people’ not simply acquiesce to authoritarian mandates on our behavior without first making the Nanny State prove their hypothesis,” said Dr. Paul.
