Dr. Rand Paul Honors Vietnam Veteran with Video Message Ahead of Ride in UH-1 Huey Helicopter

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) released a video message celebrating Vietnam Veteran Specialist John Osborne who was honored in Williamstown with a ride on a UH-1 Huey helicopter. At the ceremony on Monday morning, Specialist Osborne received proclamations, presentations, and awards before his helicopter ride, including a letter from former U. S. President George W. Bush and the video message from Dr. Paul.

With the help of Mayor Mark Christopher of Williamstown, Dr. Paul and his office were able to help facilitate Specialist Osborne’s ride in a UH-1 Huey helicopter. This is the same type of helicopter Specialist Osborne flew in while serving in the Vietnam War.
