Sen. Paul Applauds House Passage of Freedom to Fish Act
Sen. Rand Paul today applauded the U.S. House of Representatives for passing the Freedom to Fish Act, which protects fishing access at the tailwaters of dams along the Cumberland River. The act places a two-year moratorium on the Army Corps of Engineers' plan to install physical barriers in several locations, including at the Barkley and Wolf Creek Dams. -

Today, Senators Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul called for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to pass a budget without using any procedural tricks to raise taxes or increase the debt limit. WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sen. Paul today introduced a bill to permanently suspend the application of agricultural price support authority to certain commodities, such as milk. In the absence of a Farm Bill, Sen. Paul's legislation would prevent the federal milk program from reverting back to the Agricultural Act of 1949 statute, also known as the "milk cliff." -

Sen. Paul Introduces Emergency Transportation Safety Fund Act
Yesterday, Sen. Rand Paul introduced legislation to establish the Emergency Transportation Safety Fund Act, which would provide funding for new construction, repair, and replacement of crumbling bridges and roads. The bill will make funding a priority to emergency infrastructure projects by directing revenues reaped from allowing overseas capital to be repatriated back to the United States at a low 5 percent rate into a special transportation fund. By reducing the existing repatriation rate, U.S. companies will have greater incentive to bring funds back to the United States for reinvestment.
